For this third part of the “Cabaret de l’exil”, Bartabas pays tribute to Persian women.
Whether they’re Afghan or Iranian, they’re all artists in exile too. Resistant and outraged, they claim their identity and summon their antic memory ; the one from the antic Scythian civilisation founded on matriarchy.To this nomadic people, the horse was at the origin of the remarkable gender equality : riding long distances and encourage its mount to combat was the prerogative of women as much as men, and it was the same for the practice of the art.
An invitation to travel, to be discovered in a fraternal-way over a drink at the Fort d’Aubervilliers in the ever-reinvented Zingaro Equestrian Theatre.
Designed by architect Patrick Bouchain, the theatre is a wooden construction. As soon as they enter the premises, audience members feel like they are already in the show.

Zingaro means “Gypsy”, evoking a journey around the cultures of the world. In order to meet his audience, Bartabas adapts in his big top the shows created in Aubervilliers’ theatre.
